TENOPY

The Thermal Architecture Lab is proud to present TENOPY: a novel prototype for urban cooling, responding to the Urban Heat Island (UHI) effect. It is a result of a collaboration with the North 10 community organization in North Philadelphia, located in a neighborhood severely affected by UHI and with Penn Nursing, and Penn Engineering, through the Penn4C initiative.

TENOPY is a fully solar-powered, shaded, open-air urban cooling shelter, with a cooling bench, and condensation-free radiant panels that provide sustainable urban cooling.
